Attention current Gwynedd families, the financial aid application for the 2024-2025 academic year is open. If you received financial for this current school year, you need to re-apply each school year.
Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School seeks to provide an affordable Catholic, private, college-preparatory education to all our families. We recognize that the primary responsibility for financing a student's education rests with the family. Because of this, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School is privileged to offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families who could not otherwise afford to attend. We are pleased to offer FACTS Payment Plans and Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment on the same platform.

PARENT SERIES WEBINAR: MARCH 18

| "Understanding Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom and Beyond" With the growing prominence of AI and the questions surrounding its integration into education, have you considered the impact on your child's learning and future? Throughout the 2023-24 academic year, Gwynedd Mercy faculty and staff have explored innovative ways to leverage AI for targeted student support, active learning, and personalized engagement opportunities.
On March 18 at 6PM, Dr. Melissa Sullivan, Dean of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, will outline our emerging collaboration with Flint, an all-in-one tutoring platform, highlighting how our students are beginning to benefit from Flint's services. Mr. Sohan Choudhury, Co-Founder and CEO of Flint, will elaborate on how the platform empowers teachers to support student learning while prioritizing student data privacy. He will emphasize that students' critical thinking and overall growth remain the primary focus of a Gwynedd Mercy education.

With their Lead4Change grant, Sophia DeSantis '24 and Mia Hudak '24 will be hosting a Simon's Heart Screening event for the Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School Community. Your participation in this important event not only promotes awareness but also empowers our community in taking proactive steps toward cardiac health. SCREENING EVENT DETAILS
- Saturday, April 20th, with doors opening at 8:30AM and the first screening beginning at 9AM.
- In addition to the screenings, the event also provides participants the opportunity to learn about CPR procedures.
- Screenings are available to students aged 8-25 who haven't undergone a heart check previously.
- Students who were previously screened but have since tested positive for COVID are invited.

Please note that we can accommodate up to 225 screenings, after registration is full a waitlist will be created.

SPEECH & DEBATE IS HEADED TO NATIONALS
|
|
|
|
Last weekend, five members of the Speech and Debate team competed in the Philadelphia Catholic Forensics League Varsity Finals. All five students placed in the top six of their respective events and therefore qualified to compete in the Grand National Tournament held in Chicago, IL over Memorial Day Weekend! - Matilda French ‘25 qualified in Original Oratory, and was named District Champion!

This is a chance to have meaningful conversations with your daughter(s) in an environment that is supportive and collaborative. | ALMOST SOLD OUT! Phillies Game and Tailgate – April 20
The Fathers’ Club is excited to promote our biggest and final Father-Daughter event of the year – the Phillies Game and Tailgate!
Join us for our 4 hour pregame tailgate and stay to watch the Phillies take on the White Sox on April 20th at 6:05PM. Our pregame tailgate will include a DJ, food, drinks and tailgate games in the Xfinity Live parking lot starting at 1PM. Mercy Hospice chairs Jennifer Tilley P’27, Shannon Helenski P’26, and Kelly Gallagher P’26 have offered to organize a rescheduled Mercy Hospice Dinner at GMA this Spring after the cancellation of the dinner the last two years. The available date, April 8, is the Monday following Easter Break and the chairs would like to gauge the availability of mothers to both cook and serve the dinner, and they are asking for your response to this very brief survey: Mothers' Club Survey. After responses are received, a Sign-up genius will be created and sent through class representatives. Thank you for participating in the survey!
